In the early 1970s, NASA developed a surface coating material of polytetrafluoroethylene (chemical name Fife, trade name Teflon, 1938) with excellent architectural performance. At the same time, the glass fiber fabric membrane technology of B yarn and de yarn is also becoming more and more mature, which makes the modern fabric membrane material based on polytetrafluoroethylene come out, now known as class a membrane, and starts engineering application [Z]. With the development of new polyester fibers (Kevla, etc.), fluoride coatings are gradually applied to C-type films.

These films are characterized by high strength, high specific strength, high modulus, radiation resistance, atomic oxidation resistance, and stable performance.
