Glass corridor

It is composed of two geometric masses, which are connected by a high glass corridor. This property is called "Bosk House" or "House in the Forest", which makes residents feel as if they are in nature when they move from one place to another in their homes. The project is located in a suburb of Mexico City and is divided into two concrete buildings. One is the main residential building, and the other contains relevant building equipment.

A large number of materials are used in the construction of this project. Wood beams, long-span glass windows and concrete and steel structure frames complement each other. In order to combine the indoor environment with the surrounding landscape, the design team focused on the space of open plan layout and designed large-scale openings. The high glass windows present a panoramic view of the forest, and also ensure sufficient natural light. The impressive double storey high living room is built around a steel fireplace, adjacent to an open terrace. On the mezzanine floor, the dining room overlooks the lounge below, next to which is a spacious kitchen. In order to block direct light, the residential facade is specially covered with aluminum sunshades. However, due to the orientation of the building and its high heat storage capacity, the annual indoor temperature is still very comfortable. Considering sustainability, all windows are low radiation windows, and waste water can be recycled to irrigate plants. All electrical systems are automated, including residential lighting, audio-visual equipment, security systems, heating systems and all shutters.
